In the first term, we have been learning about the UK.

Geography = We looked at where the UK can be found on a world map and we looked for cities in the UK.  We found out about the seas around the UK as well as the rivers, lakes and mountains in the UK.

History = We learned about the UK during WW1.  We found out how the war started and what it was like to be a soldier during the war.  We visited the Orange Cultural and Heritage Museum to see a WW1 exhibition.  This was a great trip and we learned lots of facts.  We also got to see weapons and dress up!

We learned about the history of the UK Parliament and how laws are made today, compared to how they were made in the past.

We made 3D nets of London Landmarks to create models.  We found that it was a bit tricky trying to get them to stick together.  Below you can see The Palace of Westminster with 'Big Ben', as well as London Bridge, Buckingham Palace and a London Bus.

Science = We learned about some famous inventors during our studies of Victorian Britain.  The Victorian was a great time for science and engineering developments.  Click on the links below, if you are keen to discover more.
